my name is chet singh. i graduated from trenttwice actually. i did a b.a. honours in politics & sociology. one of the things that unique about trentis the place, i mean where it's located. students from all over the world, various rural andurban communities in canada, coming together..you basically have to make community. there's a really fascinating hybridizationthat occurs politically, culturally, creatively and artistically. so the place was quite unique.the people obviously were very unique, particularly for me the profs. i had some amazing professors. i decided to go into teaching and engagingmore specially what the idea is that goes
into teaching and learning in colleges, schoolboards and universities. in the panel i'm going to be sitting on i'll be discussingissues of poverty and inequality. and again i can only speak to those issues from my ownengagement with them through work and music and activism. i'm very much looking forwardto that.
