so, we just removed this tub from a tight bathroom, where it fit between wall to wall. and the best way to do that, is to take and cut the apron with a saws all blade, which allows you to then tip it up this way without damaging any of the framing or cutting any framing. so, this is just an old metal tub that cuts easy with a saws all, with a metal blade in it. and yeah, removing a tub.
it's easy when you know how, but not so easy when you don't own a saws all. i guess you can rent one, but it's pretty easy. you've got to wear eye protection because this stuff, this enamel flies off it real easy. and, so now we've got this all open, and these are some shark bite shut offs. shark bites are really good because you can shove them on without having to solder anything.
and they're new technology in the last couple of years i guess since 2008. and now i've got the water shut off right at the shower area, and i can put a new valve in anytime i want, and it's easy. easy peasy. so, here we go. it's going to get a new shower. you can see the old '50s wallpaper here. it was nice when it came out,but then not so nice now. closed captioning by kris brandhagen. brandhagen@gmail.com
