bedroom decorating ideas with mirrors

hello it’s brenda latte, co-founder of lotzremodeling.comwith my husband mark for almost 3 decades. where we reinvigorate your home and by doingso transform your life. our show burning questions, answers all of your questions that you needan expert’s advice on. the burning question for today is: how can adding mirrors to myfoyer really make that area pop? this is the audio version for the blog post found at lotzremodeling.com.the entry to your home really sets the ambiance to the other rooms in your home. when youpaint the interior of your entry area, mirrors can be your friend to help make that roomreally have, a significant different feel. your mother always told you, you only haveone chance to make a good first impression. well, it’s true. your home is no different.you need to get it right the first time. sometimes

when we spend so much time worrying aboutthe kitchen or the powder room, we overlook the entry way. there are various ways to updateyour entry or foyer and we have had many blogs post about this already; but we are just goingto just focus on one aspect today and that’s adding in mirrors. this is really an inexpensiveway to brighten up the first area, when your friends, family and even business associatescome on over. not only are our mirrors purely functional such as in a respect to primpingyour hair or checking your teeth before you run out the door. mirrors add character tothat area as well. the first thing that i like to talk about is lighting with respectto mirrors. if you happen to be lucky to have a natural light that flows through the foyerthen try to position the mirror while that

can grab that natural light and bounce itoff the wall as well. this will then add more natural warmth to the entry way and lightenup any dark areas that you have there. if you are not so lucky to have a natural lightcome in the area then position a chandelier or a table lamp where that light can bounceoff that mirror. secondly, let’s talk about scale. mirrors have an appearance to makean area larger than it really is. the one thing you need to do is keep the scale orthe size of the mirror and the entry way to match the size of your entry way. you don’twant to have a huge mirror that over powers a wall or one that is too small that you rathernot even hang it at all. the second thing is where you are going to position your mirrors;you can either have your mirror hung right

in the wall when you walk into your home.if you are lucky enough to have a larger foyer, then consider purchasing a beautiful chestor table maybe at a re-sale shop. behind the table can be a mirror that we have talkedabout, you can then utilize the table lamp as i mentioned and then play it off the mirror.finally, finishing touches. when you are hanging mirrors in your entry way or changing of thelighting; you probably should at the same time paint the walls or the ceiling to getit finally those last touches. we know that the entry way is of course functional butis the prelude to the rest of your home. why not make a breathtaking, first impressionby considering adding an inexpensive mirror. i think you will be surprise at how much itwill add to your home, when couple with mirrors,

table lamps and natural lighting and a freshcoat of paint. it can really make everything else tie together like a bow and a package.whether you are on a limited budget or not, hanging mirrors in the entry foyer areacan really give you outstanding results. give me your comments below, we would love foryou to send in any other burning questions you have and we will be glad to put them out.remember, mark and i always feel that when you upgrade your home you upgrade your life.let’s start today, check out this blog post and all of our photos on it by going to lotzremodeling.com.
