BATHROOM REMODEL DESIGN TOOL FREE

so the first part to painting this bathroomis to make sure we have all our proper tools. so i have my trusty tool tray here, let meshow you guys exactly what i bring into a room. this, a couple of rollers, this is forrolling large surfaces. i have my caulking gun, it might be this plastic one that's lightweight, i'll show you how to use that in a minute. i have a scraper, this is for removingflaking, peeling paint. i got a couple different versions of that, right here, as you can see.we have a putty knife, ones for spackle and fillers, and we have different sizes for gettinginto different areas. this is the universal paint tool, we call this a five in one, becauseit has basically five functions. you have this surface right here, it's good for hammeringand banging on things. this is for scraping,

this is for digging in and gouging for holes,it can be used to clean your roller, it serves a lot of purposes and it's very helpful fordoing several different things throughout the job. so we keep this at, with us at alltimes, in our pocket. i keep a couple of screwdrivers in here, a phillips head and a flathead fortaking off switch plate covers and vent covers. obviously, you want to have some brushes.i keep brushes, i save the packaging that they're in because it's a good way to preservethe brush for longer. i keep a mask, in case we have to do any sanding or scraping, soyou don't have to breath in any of the particles. see, i have, this is an extension pole; thisis used with the roller, and several other tools, when needed to basically get more reachout of your tools, and it has an extension,

so this is very handy to have, it does a lotof the work for you, get a little leverage with that. we have utility knives, severaldifferent sizes. this one is another all purpose painting item that you want to have with youat all times for cutting things, like masking or whatever you have. it has a little break-awayrazor blade, refillable strip and we keep that in our pocket with the five in one. andthis is a larger, more heavy duty utility knife, used for cutting bigger things. thisis our sander, this is a sanding block, you put the sandpaper on this and it's a goodhard surface for sanding something down flat. another version of that, but it's called apole sander, and as you guessed it, it fits right on the pole so that we can really getaround the whole room and sand a lot of areas

pretty fast. most importantly, we have a painterscup. painters like to work out of a cup rather than working directly out of the can becausewhen you're brushing, you're going to get some of the residue into the brush, and whenyou dip it back in, the brush, you’re contaminating the paint with debris. so you want to workout of a small cup, i like to use this, this is called a handy pail, and it has refillable, clean interior. this is my painting tape, it's a non-stick blue tape, it's good to keepdifferent sizes of it for different areas, i'll get into that in a minute. i have a dustbrush, this is for dusting off areas, it can be very helpful. and i also have a tack-clothfor really removing dust, right before we paint. of course, we have to keep some sandpapertoo, a couple different grits, some finer

and some rougher, for sanding down the differentsurfaces, good to have. finally, most importantly, having your drop cloth and plastic coveringto protect any surface that's not going to be painted from splatters and drips. so thoseare our tools, and next, i'll tell you about some of the supplies that you'll need.
