fitting an understairs loo. there's a lot to think about relevant to this little job, not least of all being where the waste is going. there are two ways of removing any wc waste, the traditional way which involves large pipes and ultimately man holes, or if that proves too expensive or downright impossible you could consider a mascerator loo such as a "saniflo". here the pipework is only as thick as your thumb and because everything is pumped, the new toilet can even be
positioned in a cellar. be warned though, there are certain things you should never put down a mascerator loo. i'm not going into the subject here because i'm horribly squeamish but just be warned, that's all. the next decision it's just how fancy do you really want what is essentially a quick use functional little space that isn't really designed to be dwelt in, to be?
in my view, it's perfectly acceptable to keep everything as simple and functional as possible. just box in any existing electrics, get the window to open. fit a cold water only basin and tap and have a single downlight. but then i'm a builder, the lady of the house may have other ideas. you wont get it done for less than â£750 and depending on what else you want or need, the price could go as high
