hello and welcome my name is gone taylorthose of you that know me already welcome back those that don't if youliked the video give it a thumbs up and subscribe thank you small manifold looped and at the hadmade this piece up outside of this is prefabbed to go into the spot where theice may i mean i'm sorry the laundry box and the water heater and that littleconjunctions of fittings the outside faucet itself right here that's going togo to the outside faucet at that and i'm going to go from pecs all the way acrossthe attic and back down and this is what it looks like inside prefabbed it andput it in here and we're ready
that will water heater will come down alittle bit is just up a little too high and right now i'm going to i'm going totake you back a little bit when before we install the large box in place i preassembled it just like the piece ofpipe it up put together outside um it's prefab of prefab meaning it was set up andready to go for installation and what you see here a longer box like this youcan use it just about any any way that you want to upside down or right side up either
either way is not the wrong way it'salways going to depend on the drain and the incoming hot and cold water these are the tabs so that when we putin place we can mail it are screwed to the studs and you know this the tabs sitback just a little bit so the larger box can count protrude a little bit from thestudy itself into the drywall what i like to do is i always like to take myvalves and solder them before i put them in place this way i can have it upside down andhave access without burning any part of the larger box itself so it this is whati'm going to do here and here i'm just
actually showing you the things you cando with this you can put the hot and cold valve on any one position there'sno position that's a in in in in stone it all depends on the plumbing that youhave yeah and these particular of large valves alot of people don't notice and this is easily overlooked you can use you can use a female adapterand screw it right onto the valve itself and it's also made so that you cansolder the half inch pipe in the inside
and in cases like this i mostly likejust i rather just solder the pipe in inside of it and what i'm doing here is i'm justtaking this pipe and going to cut it in half and these are going to be tworandom pieces that are the same size so that when i go to solder it to me resterthe parts of the system it'll kind of be a little uniform and this that there is the dreamer once we cut the copper pipe we're going to bring the sharp edges andpieces
this is my uh electric cutter it'll cut from half inch on up to oneinch and you notice i don't have the size of anything just push it on andadapt to all three sizes have three quarter and one and you can see it haslight so that when you put a mark there you can see the mark right through thewindow i know i don't have it ok and we're going to take these two piecesclean on sand them down flux them and rain the edges
and this is how you remit with thereamer you can see the little edge edges thereand the rumors just ripped that right off of there just not the rest of that off and the solder paste that i'm using is aname brand is no corrode have been using it for years what ideas i just drag and wipe the xxaccess flux off so they don't down one and also wants it's soldered it want tostart deteriorating the arrest of the pipe if you notice and here i am usingpropane gas that you can give me the
home but depot lowe's stores and this ismy little special tip it cost me about 45 bucks so nighter switch to wear itholds the bourne position and as i was saying about the flux theflux if it's left on there and runs around and it's not wiped off aftersoldering or whatever through time months years it will start todeteriorate the pipe a lot faster so you want to get that flux off of there and if you're not 21 that solder zorknow how to solder if you have the cleaning videos out there and how tosolder copper pipe i noticed
flame paint it up doing my best to keep you waiting for plastic peace here i am lightly hitting it with the solder sorry i was just going to follow theheat up right up into the brass fitting there
and that should be good we'll let it sitand we'll come back and get it and put it into the want to do laundry box this was the old laundry box you notice the hot and cold on both onthe wrong side the red is on your right blues on the left supposed to be theother way around hots always on the left kohls always on the right here's the newbox that we're going to put in place now you know even if you happen to putthose valves on the wrong side of the only there's no nothing's going tohappen it's just that they're
color-coded to you so a lot of people to know which one'shot which was cooled as plumbers we already know that the hots always on theleft and the cold on the right changes we made a new copper piping butall it seemed remember that cpc stuff they had in their we took all that outand i want any other things left to do is to put a trap on to this of you seedrain and connect the drain itself there's the old little medical thingthat had going on right there between male adapter again it's true a pic spitting on to that andadapt that cock round copper to text
tubing and take it up across the atticand back down to the outside faucet again thanks for watching i'm clocktaylor if you liked the video give it a thumbs up if you're not a subscriberbecome one thank you
