hi i'm tim gipson, i'm going to talk to youabout how to buy tile. now when you're considering to buy your tile, really the first thing you'vegot to consider is what kind of application you're looking at. so in a kitchen such asthis where we have a large area, your tile comes in different sizes. this is a twelveby twelve tile. so you can actually go any where from a twelve by twelve, they have sixteenby sixteen tiles. so your larger tiles will be used in your big open spaces on your floorlike this. then we go in the bathrooms, and you may have considerations when choosinga smaller type of tile. whether it's going on the wall, in the shower, or around thebath. or even in the kitchen you have accent areas where you may use smaller tiles arethe areas. now once you decide what type of
tile or what type of look that you're goingwith, whether it's something like travertine, or ceramic tile, or even something that'svery popular, such as a glass tile. then you want to consider where you can go to do that.now the most convenient places to go are your home improvement stores where most of themwill have a pretty good selection, particularly on your ceramic tile. and then things likeyour glass tile they may have some of that in, but most of that might be special order.if you're in larger areas and larger cities, then a lot of times you'll have like a tilewarehouse. and those are good areas to go to where they have a large volume, large layoutwhere you can go in. it's more of a warehouse type setting, and you can find some prettygood values. now some other things you can
do in buying tile, is look at salvage stores.or even go online and go online, and look at ebay or local sites such as craigslist.a lot of times you'll have builders that will put out excess quantities of tiles out thereon the internet to buy where you can get some really good values. tiles is something youcan spend anywhere from twenty-five cents a square foot all the way up to several dollarsa square foot to purchase. so when you look at your budget and look at your style, thoseare some various ways that you can look at how to buy your tiles. so i'm tim gipson withsome tips on buying tile.
