hi, i'm barbara kelley. here's how to makeunique centerpieces for a sweet 16 birthday party. girls love shoes from birth on so whatbetter way to celebrate a sweet 16 party than in a life of shoes? first of all, you choosepictures of your birthday girl from birth to today, and then the picture choice willdetermine the shoe choice, which will determine the color of the frame, and then determineyour platform and how you accessorize it. starting at birth we have courtney here ina pink frame and a pair of baby shoes and our platform is a bib. you could use a burpcloth or maybe you have your original baby shoes. or you could use a blanket. here wehave courtney in a little pair of mary janes so we have mary jane shoes here and in thepicture she has a pink and a blue balloon
so we've accessorized this centerpiece witha pink and blue balloon. in this one we have a pair of little cowgirl boots which i'veaccessorized with some ribbon with shoes on it. here courtney is making a fashion statement-- she's wearing sunglasses in the picture so we added some sunglasses and some leopard-skinshoes all on a sparkly pink piece of scrapbook paper. here's courtney at bat. quite an athleteshe is so, of course, we have a pair cleats. for the beach one, we chose a colorful pairof sandals and a starfish on a sparkly piece of scrapbook paper. and, finally, courtneyat 16 has kicked her shoes off after the dance with her red pumps displayed on black sparklyscrapbook paper. everybody gets to enjoy photos of the birthday girl and enjoy the shoes andit's just a really colorful and unique way
