today’s video is in malayalam so many of you have been requesting me to do a video in malayalam i was not sure how many of you would understand it so that is why the delay anyway since today is vishu special, this video this video is in malayalam today morning, we saw "kani"( first sight of the day) it was not that early, kids were a little late to wake up last night we arranged everything for the kani
in the us, we didn’t get the "konnapoovu", so we got few yellow flower from nearby grocery shop and used that last year we were in india for celebrating vishu, this year we are here in us whatever festival we celebrate, the specialty is in the food and so today we are preparing a few vishu special recipes a lot of cooking to do. let us head to the kitchen. so the first recipe is raw plantain, long beans, stir fry. so here everything is ready for it since we prepared all vegetables last night first we are going to boil the long beans and plankton together side by side, let us start with the next recipe which is ‘mambazha kalan’
here are all the ingredients for that. we are going to let the cucumber and ripe mango cook with little bit for salt and turmeric. here is what we have to grind we are going to grind and mix with the curd. the stir fry is getting ready we have some shallots, curry leaves and re chilly . which we are going to roast in a little oil and then add it to the cooked beans and raw plantain the cucumber is cooked well and we are going to add the ground curd mixture into that both the recipes are ready now.
let us go to the next one which is “pumpkin erisherri†we are going to let the red beans and pumpkin cook well to add on we are roasting the grated coconut, curry leaves and red chilly next recipe is “okra pacchadi†all ingredients are kept ready for that the ingredients in this bowl are to be ground and mix with curd we are heating a pan and roasting urag dal, mustard, curry leaves and okra together we will fry everything with salt and turmeric and add to the curd. amma has one more thing to cook ''payasam''
since we made semia payasam recently for anjalis birthday. we are going to make another special payasam today which is gulab jamun payasam adi, what do you have to tell? today i got 5 dollars for vishu. so i am planning to buy something. small talks...continue...:)
